Two kinds of referral

Each buyer gets a personal link after checkout
When a friend buys through it, the referrer earns credit toward their next ticket

Organizer referrals (Brand Ambassador)

Bring another organizer to the platform and earn a standing 20% of BrightStar’s platform fee on their sales — in perpetuity
Attribution is first-touch and locked to the referred account forever
BrightStar absorbs the cost; the referred organizer’s payout is never reduced
Not paid on free Seva events, where the platform fee is $0

How attribution works

A referral is captured the moment someone arrives through a referral link and either buys a ticket or creates an organizer account. The link is tied to that person permanently, so the credit or commission is never lost — even if they come back weeks later to act on it.

Where it lives

Referral links, earnings, and payouts all live in your dashboard under Commissions. Credits apply automatically at checkout; commissions are paid on the standard payout schedule.

Referrals stack with the Affiliate Engine. If both a referrer and an affiliate helped drive a sale, both are rewarded from separate budgets — so you never have to choose between them.
